It’s late and our beloved neighbor, Miss Maudie, house just burned down. Luckily, most of the neighbors were able to help her save her furniture. Unfortunately, they couldn’t save the house. The house burned to the ground but was stopped before it reached any others. To me this is very heart breaking to see such a good women have something horrible happen to her. I hope tomorrow she will be all right, I know I am going to have to comfort her though, and I gladly will.
It’s the next day after the terrifying fire. Miss Maudie is surprisingly joyful. She was telling my two kids how she did not even like her old house and is already thinking of building a new, smaller one.
